New Ideas In Bathroom Carpeting

If you are looking to install bathroom carpeting in your bathrooms there are two options to consider, depending on the size of your bathroom. These options are wall to wall bathroom carpeting and area bathroom carpeting.

Wall to wall bathroom carpeting is not very common but, these days, with new carpet designs and technology, wall to wall bathroom carpeting can be a quick and easy solution to your self decorating desires. Cut to fit bathroom carpets are now widely available. These carpets are 100% olefin, backed with non-skid latex. Merely take your bathroom’s measurements and cut the carpet to the desired size.

Keep in mind that this type of bathroom carpeting is most appropriate in powder rooms and small bathrooms. It is also a good idea to leave a tiled or linoleum coated area around the toilet in case of accidental overflows. This type of bathroom carpeting comes in many different colors to match any bathroom design. Another advantage of wall to wall bathroom carpeting is that it is relatively inexpensive so, in the event of bathroom flooding, it will not cost you an arm and a leg to replace. It is especially effective for powder rooms that are used less frequently as the carpet will not endure excessive wear and tear.

Large Bathrooms

If you have a larger bathroom, then it is better to go for area rugs. These are available in all good bath or linen stores. Area bathroom carpets can be bought in sets which include a rug for the main area of the bathroom, under the sink, and around the toilet. Wall to wall bathroom carpeting can be difficult to install in larger bathrooms, and it can take substantial wear and tear over time, especially in the areas around the bath or shower. These areas require additional carpeting or mats. Also, wall to wall bathroom carpeting can become quite pricey when installed in larger bathrooms. Wall to wall bathroom carpeting in a large area will also tend to roll or crease as certain areas of the carpet are walked over more frequently.
