    Expert ????

An expert would have removed the doors and hardware. Would save a lot of time and a “cleaner” look!
And where is the instructional dialog? Things like maintaining a wet edge, always brush into the paint ????

    Expert my A*s …freakin’ idiot!

I agree – removing the doors and hardware is the only right way to do it. This is more like “Corner Cutter’s Village”

Removing all the knobs and doors to paint just takes too long. Then you have to rest it somewhere to dry. Or paint 1 side and wait 30 minutes. The way hes doing it, is goood. 5-10 minutes and hes done. (Imagine removing all the cabinets to paint, 20-30 doors all over the place!! STUPID!)

Its up to the painter and the overall quality that the client is paying for. You wouldn’t bring out all the bells and whistles for a client who just cares about the bottom line. And you wouldn’t do corner cutting for a client who pays top dollar. Just my two cents

im repaintin my cabinets at home. i sanded them down with 60 then 120 grit then i painted them with a dark brown paint, but i can see the brush marks. is it possible to get a laminate like finish by painting. if not how????

  • UKPainter says:

@ShiXkenXAnsatsusha A good result of getting no brush strokes would be to unscrew the doors buff or sand with very fine sandpaper then use a spraygun with solvent based paint, this way the brush strokes are not to be seen, I am sure there are other methods though personally I prefer the brush stroke finish.
