First and foremost mirrors are used to check your image and see if you are happy with yourself i.e. to make sure you have your hair just about right, your make up, your clothes and all the jazz.

More and more people have gone past that functionality and are now using them to create an illusion of space in their homes. In addition to that, they are also used to add more light into a “not so well lit” room.

There are many types of mirrors that you can choose when coming up with your decorative plans. For example, you can go for a wall , oversized, tiny convex, silver, Venetian, metal, handcrafted, wrought iron, antique and mirror full length beveled to name only a few.

If you are on a tight budget this is essentially the best way to remodel your house and make it look new and welcoming. A draw back to this is their vulnerability to being broken or dirtied by the kids and even some visitors. Simply find a mirrored tile that comes with a design overlay and the problem will be solved.

You can also have decorative bathroom mirrors on a mantle. Alternatively simply add some highlights on some parts of the walls.

There really is no one best way to us your mirrors to decorate around your house. Just follow your heart and the rest will follow you. You should probably consider finding more sources to help you get started with your new home improvement project
